Heute haben wir die Gesamtzahl von 1600 Besuchern überschritten und freuen uns auf ein ähnlich gutes Final-Wochenende wie letzte Woche. Das Wetter soll so fantastisch bleiben wie es bisher war.

We realized yesterday a mistake by the agency who installed the poster campaign at 10 Vaporetto-Stations. It was a shock for us that the one at San Marco was covered with a green sunlight-protection and therefore the colors were totally wrong. They promised to fix that a.s.a.p. - Update: fixed

Schockiert waren wir gestern über einen Fehler der Werbeagentur, die für das Aufhängen unserer Poster zuständig ist. Ausgerechnet an der stark frequentierten Vaporetto-Station San Marco war das Poster mit einer grünen Sonnenschutzfolie versehen, obwohl die Poster alle innen hängen. - Update: Ist tatsächlich inzwischen korrigiert worden

The technical problems with the Blogging are solved! So far at half of the time more than 1200 visitors attended the exhibition and the reactions are beautiful. The comments in the guest book are just overwhelming. A venetian modern art galerist purchased a piece and we had a interesting meeting about a possible cooperation in the future. The Indian actress and singer Kareena Kapoor, a big Bollywood-Star, used a break for visiting the exhibition. For a week a big production team is in Venice to shoot footage for the upcoming film "Kambakht Ishq", a Hollywood production for the Bollywood market. And finally, a journalist of the Venetian daily newspaper La Nuova di Venezia announced a review on the exhibition. It should be published on Friday (hopefully!).

Die technischen Probleme mit dem Bloggen sind gelöst. Bisher (heute ist Halbzeit) haben mehr als 1200 Besucher die Ausstellung gesehen. Die Reaktionen sind fast ausnahmslos sehr schön und die zahlreichen internationalen Eintragungen im Gästebuch sind einfach überwältigend. Ein venezianischer Galerist für moderne Kunst kaufte ein Werk und wir hatten ein vielversprechendes Gespräch über eine eventuelle zukünftige Zusammenarbeit. Die indische Schauspielerin und Sängerin Kareena Kapoor, ein Bollywood-Star, besuchte die Ausstellung während einer Drehpause. Eine Woche lang werden in Venedig Szenen für den Film "Kambakht Ishq" gedreht, mit dem Hollywood den Durchbruch im Bollywood-Markt schaffen will. Eine Journalistin hat einen Artikel in der Tageszeitung La Nuova di Venezia für Freitag angekündigt (aber man weiß ja nie). Wir sind sehr gespannt.

Mostra “Che felicità essere gatto a Venezia”

Dopo il successo delle mostre a Bonn, Colonia e Berlino, l’artista tedesca Elisabeta Karlstetter è lieta di presentare nella sua prima mostra a Venezia una collezione di oltre ottanta opere dal titolo “Che felicità essere Gatto a Venezia."
L’esposizione si terrà dal 3 al 12 ottobre 2008 nella sala presso la chiesa SS. Giovanni e Paolo.
L´artista, che ha sempre vissuto con i gatti, dal 1992 con grande passione dedica le sue opere (oltre anche ad altri soggetti) al suo animale preferito.
I suoi collages molto espressivi ed insoliti, i suoi quadri ed oggetti mostrano il gatto in varie sfaccettature: meraviglioso, elegante, misterioso, orgoglioso, dominante, ferocemente poetico, trasognato, sublime, a volte divertente e sempre come personalità unica.
Il materiale preferito dall’artista è costituito da oggetti trovati sulla riva del Reno e su diverse coste europee. Le tracce che l´acqua, la luce ed il tempo hanno lasciato sul materiale come legno, pietre, ossa,metallo arrugginito, schegge di creta si evidenziano tramite la lavorazione con olio, acrile, inchiostro e gessetto. Inoltre l´artista usa ritagli di giornale, piombo o piume.
Così i gatti realizzati con oggetti trovati al Lido sono diventati “Veri Veneziani”.
Con questo omaggio al gatto preparato durante tanti anni Elizabeta Karlstetter vuole dare un contributo artistico con le sue opere alla sua amata Venezia.
“Per me, i gatti sono un opera d´arte speciale. Un’ isola di tranquillità, umiltà, fascino e fortuna. Una celestiale rubacuori pieni di grazia“.
Il motto dell’artista e´: L´arte deve dare gioia. I visitatori della mostra sicuramente proveranno proprio questa gioia !
